Yves has a lot of experience in adventurous walks. He has walked with small groups in Crete, Ecuador and Canada for a Belgian adventurous travel organisation and is still specialising himself in walking excursions in all the Sierra's you can see from Casa Domingo such as the Sierra de Huma, Sierra Alcaparaín, Sierra de Prieta, Sierra de las Nieves and lots of others.

We have fully described walks with indication of distance/ approximate time and difficulty, e.g.:

• Walk round the lake el Gaitanejo with a half hour climb to the saddle where one has a splendid view of the Caminito del Rey in the Gargante del Chorro and where one can see the vultures soaring through the gap.
• Walk in the Sierra de las Nieves. Unique in the world for its Pinsapos, pines which only here have survived the ice age.
• Walk until the foot of the Sierra de Huma where a hidden staircase in the rocks brings you to a beautifull meadow with splendid panoramas.
• Walk in the Sierra Blanquilla with its path of beachsand that swings through the trees.
• Walk to the castle of Turón with a splendid view on the Sierra de Alcaparaín.
• Short walk through the rocky moonlandscape of El Torcal

There are also some walks starting from Casa Domingo:

• Walk passing by of all the highlights of our village Álora to the top of El Hacho.
• Walk through the fields and crossing a farm to the village of Pizarra from where we reach the Sierra Gibralmora and El Santo.

Andalusia is a real dream for the sportsman who likes a challenge. Several organisations rent mountainbikes/quads and organise day-trips.

Daytrip, including a spanish picnic, through the impressive nature of the 'Sierra de las Nieves' in a comfortable Landrover. Experience, feel and taste the authentic Spain.

You can ride horses in the surroundings both for less and more experienced horseriders (walks in the mountains from 2 hours up to an entire day).

There are numerous possibilities for kids to play: a swimming pool, a swing a slide, a tennis-court… We also have several games and other toys available. In the surrounding area the little ones can enjoy (Tivoli Park, Crocodile Park, Wolf Park, several aquaparks, …)

We have one tennis-court at Casa Rural Domingo. It can be used at any time.

Refreshment can be found in our beautiful swimming pool. You can relax, enjoying the sun and the stunning views from the poolside!

There are splendid golf courts in of the area outside Álora. 

In winter it is possible to ski on the Sierra Nevada. It’s only a one and a half hour drive away from Casa Rural Domingo.
